Tex Crick Is Teasing A New Album

The enigmatic artist drops hints about forthcoming project.

Tex Crick is teasing a new album and if it’s anywhere near as good as ‘Live in... New York City’ I’d probably shit all over my swivel chair... ‘Live in... New York City’ (live as in live your life, not live as in Tex Crick PLAYS LIVE IN NEW YORK CITY,) is not a flawless album, but it’s definitely not far off of one. Live in... New York City is Tex’s effort of sharing his experience of living in N.Y.C, and you can hear it throughout the entire album, topped off with a beautiful front cover. He actually got that picture by hiring a private investigator via his girlfriend’s e-mail address, mad right?

Recently Tex has been posting photographs on his Instagram of test print vinyl pressings, as well MP3 audio files with encrypted titles, stating that he has new music on the horizon, and boy am I gassed. His music is so perfectly condensed into a tight knit, nostalgic, warm and comforting sound that it easily lands in my top ten favorite records. He’s a self proclaimed ‘well traveled man’, and it’s true - originally from Australia, his debut (not officially a debut as it’s his second album, but Live in N.Y.C was the first to be released under a label, Mac Demarco’s record label at that) was recorded in N.Y.C while he was learning how to tune pianos, only now to be living in Tokyo, not sure what he’s doing there, but if it contributes to his new record then I couldn’t care less if I’m honest, as long as he’s not killing people.

He aint so much of a social media guy it seems, he keeps himself to himself, but from time to time he’s posting news about this and that regarding his new music, give him a follow and PLEASE go listen to Live in... New York City and you will probably feel like you're in N.Y.C when you're really just in Luton or something.
