Alien Chicks Share ‘Cowboy’ via Slow Dance Records

Alien Chicks share new single ahead of their 30th January launch party at Windmill Brixton for Independent Venue Week.

Alien Chicks will be releasing their single 'Cowboy' on 25th January 2023 through Slow Dance Records. This single will also be featured on Slow Dance Records' compilation album. To accompany the release, a music video for the single was made with Lou Smith (notorious for recording some of the most innovative bands in the London scene). Joe, the singer and guitarist of the band, composed Cowboy by piecing together a few riffs he had been pondering over for weeks. He felt that the poem in the song resonated well with the juxtaposition between the gentle verses and intense sections. The lyrics of Cowboy explore the themes of regret, confusion, and self-blame, as well as how these emotions haunt us in our dreams and subconscious. To celebrate the release of Cowboy, Alien Chicks will be hosting a single launch party at the Windmill for Independent Venue Week on 30th January.

Just one year into their formation, Alien Chicks have already had their music featured on radio stations such as Steve Lamacq, John Kennedy, and BBC Introducing and have been featured in many indie music magazines. 2023 promises to be a huge year for the band, kicking off with a UK tour in April and closing with a headline show at The Lexington in London.
