Doom Club Release New Double Single 'World Wide On It / No Sense Makes Sense'

The Big Richard Records trio bid farewell to one chapter of their sound with a chaotic DIY double release.

Doom Club have returned with their new double single, 'World Wide On It / No Sense Makes Sense', out now via Big Richard Records. The release marks the latest offering from the trio of Liam Duane, Katie Lee and Leo Cicero, while also closing the book on an earlier incarnation of the band's sound before their recent shift away from electronic drums.

Entirely self-produced, the double single was recorded and mixed between the Big Richard Shed and the home studio of Big Richard Records co-founder Dominik d'Entrecasteaux, with additional production from fellow label co-founder John Humphreys. Harry Hayes handled mastering at Studio Nunn, while Duane also created the release's artwork, making the project a fully DIY effort from start to finish.

While Doom Club are reluctant to pin down their influences, their music blends abrasive punk energy with sharp lyricism and an off-kilter experimental streak. The result is a pair of tracks that capture the raw, unpredictable spirit that has become synonymous with the band's live shows.

Speaking about their creative process, Duane said: "We get the most excited working ideas out and Frankenstein-ing them together into the songs. It's always crazy to see pure, untainted Doom Club so the next best thing is to parade it around and watch the crowd get in on the bit."

'World Wide On It / No Sense Makes Sense' is available now via Big Richard Records.
