Paddy Mulcahy Releases Hypnotic New Video for single Angel’s Share

Paddy Mulcahy, a Limerick-based producer and composer, has released the title track from his debut album for XXIM Records, Angel's Share, which will be released on August 12, 2022. Check out the video for the album's lead track, 'Angel's Share,' here.

Angel’s Share’s free-form post-classical and electronica fusion finds Mulcahy at his most reflective. Despite the Irish composer's achievement of peace and resolve, Angel's Share is a powerful and moving work inspired by grief and terror during a time of crisis. Angels Share combines elements of electronica, classical, ambient, dance, avant-pop, chillwave, and drum & bass to create a multi-dimensional album with shifting rhythm, texture, mood, and impact. Mulcahy's combination of enthusiasm and experience results in a sound and image that is refined for the heart, and soul.

Angel's Share gets its name from the Irish term for the evaporation of whiskey from a barrel and marks the first time Mulcahy has collaborated with live musicians, specifically drummer Myles O’Callaghan and violinist Gareth Quinn Redmond. “As my debut album for XXIM, I really wanted it to sound the very best it could and taking the music to Myles and Gareth allowed me to fully express the emotions I wanted to capture.” Mulcahy shares.
