Primavera Sound Announces 2023 Headliners

Primavera announce their strongest line up yet for their 2023 edition.

Discover yourself in the Primavera Sound 2023 line-up - the festival's 20th edition promises to be a reflection of its diverse community. With locations in both Barcelona and Madrid, the festival showcases over 200 performances including the Primavera a la Ciutat programme. The line-up is full of surprises while remaining familiar, and the festival prides itself on gender balance among its artists. As the festival looks to its audience for inspiration, attendees can expect a learning experience that goes both ways. With seven months until the festival, there's plenty of time to explore the infinite possibilities of Primavera Sound.

Primavera Sound's diversity is reflected not only in its community but also in its musical lineup. With impossible combinations of genres like punk and k-pop, reggaeton and metal, techno and salsa, the festival celebrates music in all its forms. The lineup boasts big names, long-awaited comebacks, brand new revelations, and living legends, such as Kendrick Lamar, Rosalía, Halsey, FKA twigs, Skrillex, St. Vincent, and Calvin Harris. Depeche Mode will make their stage comeback after five years. But even the smaller names have been chosen to add value to the whole, including hardcore for the masses of Turnstile, the expansive rap of Baby Keem, and avant-garde references like John Cale and Laurie Anderson. With reunions and new indie royalty, the lineup is truly diverse and reflective of the festival's values.

Primavera Sound's lineup is a reflection of the festival's history and commitment to generating new classics. Shellac, Fred again.., Pusha T, Sparks, and Caroline Polachek are just a few of the returning artists set to immortalize new key moments in their respective careers. The festival also welcomes new contemporary pop acts like Japanese Breakfast and Sudan Archives, urban idols Mora and Trueno, and dancefloor favorites Charlotte de Witte and Nia Archives. Extreme challenges are proposed by Soul Glo and Brutalismus 3000. Each artist in the lineup contains a part of the festival's history, making for a dazzling lineup. Barcelona and Madrid will experience two almost identical Primavera Sounds on their three main days, with only a small group of artists performing on one site as part of the main program of each festival.

On Thursday, December 1st at 12:00 noon CET, all tickets for Primavera Sound Barcelona 2023 and Primavera Sound Madrid 2023 will be available for purchase on DICE.
