Slayer Announce Long-Awaited UK Return

Two Exclusive Headline Shows This July.

Thrash metal legends Slayer have announced their long-awaited return to the UK with two massive outdoor shows this summer – their first UK dates in six years, and their only European headline performances of 2025. The announcement marks a major moment in the band’s over 40-year career, with these dates set to be their biggest UK headline shows to date.

The band will play Cardiff’s Blackweir Fields on Thursday 3rd July, followed by a huge set at London’s Finsbury Park on Sunday 6th July. Both shows promise to be a celebration of Slayer’s legacy and a career-spanning spectacle of speed, aggression and unrelenting energy.

Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday 7th March via slayer.net and Live Nation.

Joining them for this UK exclusive are an all-star cast of special guests:

  • Amon Amarth – the Viking metal behemoths bring their war cries and cinematic stage presence.

  • Anthrax – fellow Big Four icons ready to deliver classic thrash anthems.

  • Mastodon – sludgy, psychedelic heaviness and technical mastery from the Atlanta titans.

  • Hatebreed – metalcore veterans with razor-sharp riffs and pit-ready bangers.

  • Neckbreakker – rising newcomers poised to demolish expectations with relentless energy.

These six acts will take over a single stage for a thunderous, no-holds-barred day of heaviness, uniting generations of metal fans in two unforgettable nights of riff-led carnage.

The news follows Slayer’s recently announced appearance at Black Sabbath’s final show, Back to the Beginning, taking place 5th July at Villa Park, Birmingham. It will be only the third time Slayer have shared a bill with Sabbath, following Ozzfest in 1998 and 2004.

The band have also been confirmed for a headline appearance at Canada’s FEQ Festival in Quebec on 11th July, marking their first Canadian performance since 2019, as well as a major US headline slot at Louder Than Life in Louisville, Kentucky on 18th September.

In the meantime, fans can dive deep into Slayer’s legacy through their official online museum Slaytanic Verses – a digital archive packed with rare artefacts, memorabilia, and behind-the-scenes stories from the band’s decades of dominance. The current exhibition, Live Assaults: 1981 Through Today, is available to explore now.
