The 5 Acts We Can't Wait To See At Truck Festival 2026
From indie legends to the UK's fastest-rising new bands, these are the artists at the very top of our must-see list ahead of this year's Truck Festival.
Truck festival returns for another year, once again with a stacked lineup full of nostalgia as well as some of the best indie/alternative bands currently available. With too many artists to write about, we at Still Listening present a small list of artists that we cannot wait to see at this year's edition of Truck Festival.
An obvious choice for the reminiscent indie heads that flood Truck Festival year on year is none other than The Cribs. Since forming in 2001 and co-headlining the festival in 2014, The Cribs always seem to be relevant, even more so this year coming off the back of their ninth studio album ‘Selling A Vibe’. The three Jarman brothers never fail to give fans an unmatched energy, slick harmonies and riffs that makes it feel like it's the early 2000s all over again. Expect the loyal Cribs fans to flock from everywhere for this one, whether it’s an OG fan who attended the band's first London show in 2004, or some young lads who found a Cribs CD in their dads car, this one will have everyone singing and dancing.
An obvious choice for fans caught up in the current London scene is Girl In The Year Above. Heart wrenching lyrics and captivating live performances have helped rocket this band straight into the eyes of many, blending elements from traditional celtic folk music, yet adding a modern day approach. With only three songs released currently, including a stunning rendition of Massive Attacks ‘Teardrop’ for the new Peaky Blinders film, Girl In The Year Above are well and truly an act you don’t want to miss, get in early as I doubt they’ll ever play an early slot like this again.
The Vaccines. Need I say much more? The West London outfit are on a huge string of festival and headline dates this summer, celebrating the 15 year anniversary of hugely accredited album ‘What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?’ Once again The Vaccines will grace the main stage at Truck Festival, promising a set full to the brim of hits and sing alongs. With a 5:30pm Saturday slot, this set feels like an unofficial headline. I personally expect the Vaccines to fill out the main stage for a late afternoon hour of high class entertainment, and will be there with the rest of you.
Possibly one of the hottest bands in the country right now, Bleech 9:3 join the Truck Lineup this year, continuing what's already been a momentous year for the band already. With an album fresh out into the world and some of the loyalist fans you’ll ever see, it's a guarantee that Bleech 9:3 will bring the same chaos and energy to Truck that’s helped catch the attention of many. My only advice for this one is to stay vigilant and be aware of your surroundings whilst standing in the swell of the moshpit, as it’s one to get wild.
Another band who’s gained the attention of many this year is Getdown Services, the disco-punk duo seem to just keep getting bigger and bigger. Fresh off a support slot with Swedish heartthrobs Viagra Boys and a slot in Harry Styles’ curated ‘Meltdown’ festival, Getdown Services are a sure thing to bring the bounds of energy normally displayed at Truck, and an all round genuinely fun performance. Dubbed ‘Britain's Best Band’ (as per their own Instagram bio), and with a new album on the way, it feels silly to even think about passing up a set like this.
Truck simply doesn’t fail to bring the noise. As our magazine’s 2nd visit in out tenure, we ourselves are going to be reporting live, interviewing artists, and meeting fans to discuss the weekend. I’d love to say to look out for us, but if you see us in the middle of a night out, don’t even think of interrupting.
