Wyatt Release Debut Single ‘Morning’ and Sign to Heist or Hit

The Manchester four-piece will join Westside Cowboy on tour before playing their first headline show at The Abbey in December.

Manchester four-piece Wyatt have released their debut single, ‘Morning’, after signing to Heist or Hit. The band will spend much of the autumn supporting Westside Cowboy across Europe and the UK before playing their first headline show at The Abbey in Manchester on 11 December.

‘Morning’ was recorded with producer Alex Greaves at The Nave. Singer and guitarist Harvey O’Toole says the song took shape unusually quickly after a gig at which the band’s guitar amp broke. ‘The next week we took it to rehearsal and by the end of the rehearsal it was basically the version of it that it is now,’ he recalls. ‘It isn’t trying to be too clever or wild, it’s just a song we like to play.’

Wyatt comprise Harvey O’Toole on guitar and vocals, Evan O’Toole on bass and vocals, Emily Mason on trumpet, acoustic guitar and vocals, and Joe Ward on drums. Before releasing any music, they had played shows with the likes of Divorce, Brown Horse, Frog and TTSSFU. Their upcoming dates with Westside Cowboy begin in Nijmegen on 28 October and include a London show at O2 Forum Kentish Town on 2 December and a Manchester show at Albert Hall on 5 December.
