aespa Return With Futuristic New Album LEMONADE
The K-pop group's second full-length record features collaborations with Becky G, Ty Dolla $ign and G-DRAGON ahead of a 2027 UK arena tour.
aespa have released their long-awaited second studio album, LEMONADE, marking the K-pop quartet's first full-length record in two years. Across ten tracks, KARINA, WINTER, GISELLE and NINGNING continue to push deeper into the futuristic electronic sound that has become their trademark. While aespa have never been short on ambition, LEMONADE feels like one of their most polished and confident releases to date, balancing huge pop hooks with the experimental production choices that have helped set them apart from many of their peers.
The album's title track arrives as a punchy electronic anthem built around themes of resilience and self-belief. Taking inspiration from the phrase "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade", the song transforms setbacks into fuel, wrapped in the glossy, high-energy aesthetic that aespa have spent the last few years perfecting. A special digital edition also includes an alternate version featuring Latin pop star Becky G.
Elsewhere, the group expand their sonic palette through a mix of hyperpop, dance-pop, R&B and pop-rock influences. Highlights include the explosive 'WDA (Whole Different Animal)', which features G-DRAGON, while 'Switchblade' sees aespa join forces with Ty Dolla $ign for one of the record's most immediate moments.
Beneath the album's confident exterior sits a more emotional core. Tracks such as 'Can't Help Myself' and 'Camouflage' explore themes of identity, pressure and perseverance, while closing song 'Til We Die' serves as a heartfelt tribute to the group's fanbase.
The release follows the success of 2024's Armageddon and arrives during a period of continued global growth for the group, who were named Group of the Year at Billboard Women in Music 2025 and have become one of K-pop's most internationally visible acts.
Later this year aespa will appear at Lollapalooza before embarking on their 2026-27 SYNK : COMPLæXITY world tour. UK fans can catch the group in Manchester on 14 January and London on 16 January 2027.
