Four Tet, Wolf Alice, Wilco and Mogwai Announced as Green Man Headliners
A sold-out return to the Black Mountains sees Four Tet, Wolf Alice, Wilco and Mogwai lead an expansive 2026 line-up spanning indie, electronic and Welsh talent.
Green Man has unveiled the first wave of artists for its 2026 edition, confirming that next year’s festival has already sold out. The event returns to Bannau Brycheiniog National Park from 20 to 23 August, with headline sets from Four Tet, Wolf Alice, Wilco and Mogwai.
Electronic producer Four Tet tops the bill alongside London indie-rock band Wolf Alice, Chicago alt-rock mainstays Wilco and Scottish post-rock pioneers Mogwai. The announcement follows another rapid ticket sell-out, continuing the festival’s streak as one of the UK’s most in-demand independent events.
Beyond the headliners, the 2026 line-up stretches across generations and genres. Cat Power joins the bill to mark 20 years of her album The Greatest, while Sparks, The Beta Band and Aldous Harding are also confirmed. Post-punk and alternative favourites including Dry Cleaning, Wednesday, Shame, Mannequin Pussy, Sorry and The Beths feature across the weekend, alongside electronic and experimental names such as Daniel Avery performing live, Smerz and Nation of Language.
Welsh artists remain central to the programme. Cate Le Bon returns, as does Charlotte Church with her Late Night Pop Dungeon. Emerging local acts including Panic Shack, Tai Haf Heb Drigolyn and Neve Cariad are also set to appear, reflecting the festival’s ongoing commitment to homegrown talent.
Mogwai will open proceedings on the Thursday night with a headline set drawing from a three-decade catalogue, including material from their recent album The Bad Fire. Wilco make their return to the Mountain Stage after previously headlining in 2009, while Four Tet marks his fourth appearance at the festival. Wolf Alice will close the weekend on Sunday with their first Green Man headline performance, following the success of their recent album The Clearing.
Now in its third decade, Green Man attracts around 25,000 visitors per day and has built a reputation for spotlighting artists early in their careers. Previous alumni include Fontaines D.C., Michael Kiwanuka, Self Esteem, Wet Leg, CMAT, First Aid Kit and Kae Tempest.
With the 2026 edition already at capacity months in advance, anticipation is high for another four days of music and culture set against the Black Mountains backdrop.
