Sprints Release New Single ‘Trickle Down’

Out now on Sub Pop/City Slang ahead of a tour.

Sprints come out fighting with their new single ‘Trickle Down’ that celebrates the success of their 2025 record All That is Over whilst coming for trickle-down economics and the current state of nations’ capitulations to America head on, an unashamedly political single that tackles the falling of systems around us in slow motion. As the band say – it’s about “housing crisis, rising costs, culture wars, climate collapse, and being told to stay patient. It’s the frustration of a generation stuck in ‘wait mode’ while everything burns" – utilising name-drops like Amy Taylor to describe a way out of this with a real sense of ferocious rage at the world; the band having been long-celebrated for their live sound that’s equal parts raw and refined.

Sprints overtime have built a good energy for their live shows: they’re raw, passionate and able to throw you into a melting pot so seeing them take their outspoken political views to new heights ensures that their next chapter is going in the right direction. They have had a banger 2025 – gracing the cover of Dork Magazine, earning plenty of five star reviews, and features with the Guardian and others, as well as the continued support of BBC Music. Their record – All That is Over, earned ‘best of’ feature appearances in Kerrang!, Dork, DIY and Rough Trade among others. They now look set to go festival bound – tearing up the likes of 2000 Trees, Bearded Theory, Green Man (new addition), Bulletproof Festival and others.
