Loyle Carner Announces New Album hopefully ! and Extensive Global Tour

In his own words, hopefully ! reflects a more open, light-hearted version of Carner.

Loyle Carner has officially announced his highly anticipated fourth studio album, hopefully !, set for release on June 20th via Island EMI. The record will be his first full-length release since 2022’s critically acclaimed hugo, and marks what is being described as a bold new chapter for the south London artist.

Alongside the album reveal, Carner has also announced a mammoth global tour, kicking off after his headline performance on Glastonbury’s Other Stage on June 27th. UK highlights include a four-night residency at London’s O2 Academy Brixton (November 2–5) and three back-to-back shows at Manchester’s O2 Victoria Warehouse (November 23–25).

The album arrives with a double single, ‘all i need / in my mind’, a compelling introduction to a record that promises to explore fatherhood, childhood, and a genre-defying sonic palette. In his own words, hopefully ! reflects a more open, light-hearted version of Carner, shaped by personal growth and a series of artistic firsts: singing, producing, and forming a dream band. His son, both seen on the album’s artwork and heard throughout the record, stands as its emotional centerpiece.

Carner’s journey from introspective storytelling on his 2017 debut Yesterday’s Gone to the powerful socio-political themes of hugo has cemented him as one of the UK’s most vital voices. Twice shortlisted for the Mercury Prize and with a reputation for unflinching, deeply personal lyricism, Carner continues to challenge the boundaries of UK rap.

Outside of music, Carner remains a multifaceted creative—recently earning an honorary doctorate from UAL, launching cookery workshops for kids with ADHD and dyslexia, and stepping into acting with a role in upcoming BBC drama Mint, directed by Scrapper’s Charlotte Regan.

Pre-sale access for hopefully ! begins April 30 at 9AM, with general tickets available from May 2 at 9AM. Fans can pre-order the album now to gain access to early tickets.
