SON Estrella Galicia Returns With A Summer Series Of Hackney Shows

SON Estrella Galicia is back once again with a wave of gigs to get your summer off to the right start.

For the past four years, SON Estrella Galicia has been supporting independent venues and artists around Hackney. This year will be no different with three gigs located at the Sebright Arms over the course of the next few weeks. Folk/post rock, Brighton based quartet ‘Ladylike’ are set to get us started on the 18th of June, followed by Edinburgh’s own ‘Insider Trading’ who will be bringing their combination of aggressive post-punk and shoegaze down south on the 30th. They will be supported by the more than capable ‘Newbuild’ and ‘Houndshark’ before being brought to a close by art-pop/punk risers ‘English Garden’ on July 2nd.

Following these shows in June and July will be their crown jewel event - Soundhood Hackney 2026 in the Autumn. This multi-venue festival follows two previous iterations in the capital, as well as standalone shows in Brighton.

SON Estrella Galicia’s highly curated nights have seen a number of exciting independent artists from across the UK perform including ‘Gurriers’, ‘Dream Wife’, ‘Swim Deep’, ‘Man/Woman/Chainsaw’, ‘Big Special’, ‘Courting’, ‘The New Eves’ and many more. These electrifying sets have often combined with activations around their trademark beer, sustainability, and elements of Spanish nightlife.
