Esmeralda Road today share new single 'Here Honey' - the first ever release on the newly founded label: 26.2.
When it comes to new labels it’s a crowded market, but 26.2 might have just jumped ahead of the gun here with ‘Here Honey’ and Esmeralda Road and made an instant impression for themselves.
It’s 2026, the world is a more fractured and disconnected place than ever, and the time for playing it cool is through. Belfast outfit Esmeralda Road have no interest in being the sort of band that stands aloof, collars popped, gazing down at their audience. Instead, their increasingly hyped, word-of-mouth live show is the sort of set that blurs the line between band and fans; that throws all its energy, ecstasy and emotion on the line and asks people to truly feel something, here, in the room, together. Their Windmill show with Brooki is now looking like an historic “you had to be THERE” moment - with both bands primed to take off, Brooki now having announced as supporting Keo and both bands primed for showcase slots at The Great Escape’s First Fifty ahead of the actual festival next year.
On Here Honey, Esmeralda Road say - “‘Here Honey’ is a song made in retaliation to all the distractions we are force fed day to day and how they eat away at our relationships with each other".
Having already shared stages with Primal Scream and Oasis’ Liam Gallagher, supporting fellow Irish risers Basht on a full tour, with festival slots confirmed at the prestigious likes of Iceland Airwaves and The Great Escape off the back of a few early singles, Esmeralda Road are gearing up for what will be a busy and exciting next 12 months.
