Ladylike release ‘Borrowed Time’ Ahead Of UK Tour Dates
Brighton post-rock/folk band Ladylike release ‘Borrowed Time’; recorded at a Church in Pembrokeshire, Wales with Ugly, Orchestra (For Now) producer Balazs Altsach
Indie rock; folk and post-rock come together under a melting pot for a real breath of talent that is Ladylike; on ‘Borrowed Time’, recorded at a Church in Pembrokeshire, in Wales for an appropriate gothic touch. The storytelling of rising and falling between momentous rushes of slowcore and stock-stillness of folk feeds together in Ladylike’s narrative, adopting a cinematic approach that has seen them earn festival slots at the likes of Dot to Dot, Green Man, Left of the Dial and Outer Town – plus gigs with the likes of Lime Garden, Mary in the Junkyard, Ugly and Villagerr.
It's their first new music since debut EP '‘It’s A Pleasure Of Mine, to Know You’re Fine’ hit the Top 10 on the Official Folk Chart earlier this year, and within seconds of listening to ‘Borrowed Time’, it’s easy to see why, a band that has become more than a staple and an instant standout from a packed field of Brighton bands. Their label Heist or Hit has pedigree - Westside Cowboy, The Slow Country and Makeshift Art Bar have all come from their ranks as of late, and now this unique sound looks to follow in their wake.
