Tooth Sign To Parlophone And Share New Single ‘Take Me As I Am’

London quartet Tooth have signed to Parlophone and shared their new single ‘Take Me As I Am’, their first release for the label and their first new material since this year’s debut EP Restless in Bloom.

Recorded at Battery Studios in London with producer Shrink, whose credits include NewDad, Cardinals and Opus Kink, and mixed by Mike Crossey, who has worked with Arctic Monkeys and Wolf Alice, ‘Take Me As I Am’ finds the band pushing beyond the youthful rush of their earlier material. Built around Roy Lowe’s opening drum part, Tom Pollock’s direct vocal delivery, Ben Ashley’s needling guitar lines and Charlie Arnison’s driving bass, the track keeps hold of Tooth’s live-wire energy while placing more emphasis on melody and tension.

Speaking about the song, Pollock says it marks a shift in the band’s writing. ‘“Take Me As I Am” represents a big development in our songwriting from what we did on Restless In Bloom both lyrically and instrumentally,’ he explains. ‘On the EP, I’d written lyrics exploring coming of age, young romance and other typical teenage tropes. However, with this song I turned to focus on ideas of identity within my experience of being in a band, where people perhaps feel they know or understand me, despite often feeling like I don’t even know or understand myself. The lyrics are conversational, ebbing and flowing between both a desperation to be accepted, and a resentment toward expectations of what or who I should be.’

The single arrives ahead of Tooth’s autumn headline tour, which begins next week and includes their biggest London headline show so far at The Garage on 27 October. Several dates on the run have already sold out, including shows in Newcastle, Nottingham, Leeds, Bristol and Birmingham, with the band also set to appear at Neighbourhood Festival in Manchester and Left of the Dial in Rotterdam.

Tooth released Restless in Bloom earlier this year, earning support from BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, BBC Introducing and Radio X, alongside coverage from NME, Dork, Rolling Stone UK, DIY, So Young, Kerrang, Clash, The Independent and more. Across 2026, they have also opened for Keo, Dust, Sunny Day Real Estate and Shame, and appeared at festivals including Reading & Leeds, Outbreak, All Points East and Wilderness.
