Le Tigre Reunite And Announce First UK And European Tour In 18 years

One of the most iconic post-riot grrrl bands finally return to take over a stage near you.

When Rudy Giuliani was mayor of New York City and regressive hipster irony was at its peak, Le Tigre was born. The punk trio abandoned traditional punk instrumentation in favor of drum-machine beats and 8-bit samples paired with minimalistic guitar riffs and call-and-response vocals. Kathleen Hanna, best known for her searing vocals from Bikini Kill, found a new sound in Le Tigre. Their hit song “Hot Topic” gained popularity as a shout-out to queer and feminist artists such as David Wojnarowicz and Lorraine O’Grady, while their lead single “Deceptacon” became known as the “party after the protest” — transforming their sound from seductive rage to a more danceable beat. Le Tigre has undeniably left an influential mark on the music industry and modern culture alike.

This summer, fans of Le Tigre can rejoice as the beloved trio returns to stages around the world for the first time in 18 years. Kathleen Hanna, JD Samson, and Johanna Fateman will bring their energetic and innovative post-riot grrrl vibes, along with multimedia performances, to Primavera Sound Barcelona, the UK, Madrid, Porto, and more cities across Europe – giving us the energy we need at a time like this. Don't miss out on the fun – get your tickets this Friday, January 27th at letigre.world for more details.
