Deer Park and Nina Share New Single “Shards”

Ahead of a tour including dates at Pitchfork Paris and the George Tavern, Deer Park launches a collab with bar italia’s Nina Cristante and a music video inspired by ‘Mr and Mrs. Smith’

Following the release of his double single with Berlin-born Valeria Litvakov, New York artist Deer park has linked up with NINA for a new single “Shards” out now alongside an accompanying music video. This is Deer park lending his voice to one third of the British indie rock band outfit bar italia - and “Shards” feels like it matches the high quality output of that band almost instantly, capturing a unique style that feels upbeat, catchy and instantly memorable. This is a song that just finds its grove and jangles and builds with a fun twang that is instantly memorable, the creative process of both artists putting together a memorable collaboration.

Coupled with an accompanying music video that features altered footage from Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s ‘Mr and Mrs. Smith’, with Jolie on the cover art - owing a debt to the gloriously fun spy caper comedy, it’s the announcement for a new six country tour that includes a performance at tastemaking festival Pitchfork Paris; which also features hotshot bands like 1000 Rabbits alongside veterans DIIV, putting Deer park in very good company, and alongside singles already released like ‘Black Cat’, ‘Terra Infirma’ and more, show an artist on a rapidly ascending rise.
