Silver Gore Share New Single ‘Don’t Tell Your Friends’

The duo return with their third single since Dogs In Heaven and will join Yard Act for a run of UK shows this November.

Silver Gore have shared their latest single ‘Don’t Tell Your Friends’, alongside details of a run of UK shows supporting Yard Act later this year.

The duo, made up of Ava Gore and Ethan P. Flynn, release the new track via Island Records. Built around intertwining vocals and a shifting electronic pop arrangement, ‘Don’t Tell Your Friends’ explores the ways people alter their behaviour depending on how they are perceived by those around them.

“This song is about having secrets,” explains Gore. “It’s also about being contradictory. Feeling one way and acting another sometimes is just the way we are.”

She continues: “Oftentimes friends have an opinion of their idea of who you are and when you display yourself in a different way they find it hard to deal with and to understand, so you resort to masking and changing your behaviour socially to fit their idea of you.”

The single is the third track Silver Gore have released since their 2025 debut EP Dogs In Heaven, following ‘Peculiar’ and ‘Black Cherry Liqueur’.

Silver Gore formed after Gore and Flynn initially met in 2018. Gore joined Flynn’s live band in 2021 before the pair began writing together under their current name. Flynn has previously collaborated with artists including FKA twigs, Nia Archives and David Byrne, while Gore comes from a background in drumming and classical vocals.

The pair have spent much of 2026 playing across the UK and Europe, with appearances at Truck Festival, Haldern Pop, Dot to Dot and Get Together. They are also set to appear at End of the Road and Manchester Psych Fest in September.

Following a London show supporting POLIÇA at The Dome on September 3, Silver Gore will join Yard Act for three dates in November, including shows at Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom, Sheffield’s Octagon Centre and Manchester’s O2 Victoria Warehouse.
