The Velveteers Announce UK And European Tour
The Colorado trio will play seven UK shows in February, following last year’s Dan Auerbach-produced album A Million Knives.
The Velveteers have announced a UK and European tour for early next year, with dates running through February and March. The tour opens in Lyon on 11 February, followed by Paris and an appearance at Grauzone Festival in The Hague. Their UK run begins at Bristol’s Exchange on 14 February and takes in Manchester, Glasgow, Nottingham, London and Brighton before finishing at Where Else? in Margate on 20 February. The band will then return to mainland Europe, wrapping up in Milan on 7 March.
Led by singer and guitarist Demi Demitro, The Velveteers build their garage rock around guitar and a dual-drum setup. Their latest album, A Million Knives, arrived last year through Easy Eye Sound, with The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach on production duties. The record includes ‘Suck The Cherry’, whose video you can watch below. Having previously shared stages with The Smashing Pumpkins, The Black Keys and Guns N’ Roses, the trio will bring the album to a run of smaller venues across the UK.
