Wednesday Announce ‘Bleeds Deluxe’ And Share ‘June 2 (Early Version)’
The expanded edition arrives this Friday with demos and reworkings by Avey Tare, DJ Sabrina the Teenage DJ, Gouge Away and more.
Wednesday will release a digital deluxe edition of Bleeds on 18 September via Dead Oceans, marking a year since the album’s release. The North Carolina band have shared ‘June 2 (Early Version)’, produced by Kenneth Blume, ahead of the expanded record, which adds eight tracks to the original album’s twelve.
Alongside ‘June 2 (Early Version)’ and a demo of ‘Poison the Sound’, the additions give six artists the chance to revisit material from Bleeds. Avey Tare takes on ‘Carolina Murder Suicide’, DJ Sabrina the Teenage DJ reworks ‘Elderberry Wine’ and Gouge Away contribute a version of ‘Wasp’. Elsewhere, Andy Loebs remixes opener ‘Reality TV Argument Bleeds’, Joe Harvey-Whyte offers his interpretation of ‘The Way Love Goes’ and Fire-Toolz closes the collection with a remix of ‘Bitter Everyday’.
Wednesday will spend much of the autumn on the road, beginning with appearances in Argentina, Chile and Brazil later this month before joining Tyler Childers for shows in Sacramento, Seattle and Portland. Their co-headline run with Mannequin Pussy, billed as The Bitch Cabal Tour, begins in Asheville on 30 October and continues through November. Further appearances are scheduled in Mexico in January 2027, followed by Knoxville’s Big Ears Festival in April.
